Congratulations to the recipients of the worksite mini grants!

Buffalo County Courthouse:

Check out the Mother’s Nursing Nook at Buffalo County Courthouse! Using the 2019 WBC Mini Grant, they updated their dedicated lactation space! The space is supported by a lactation policy and includes a noise machine, a swivel table and a beautiful piece of artwork!

Marquette County:

Marquette County Health Department used their 2019 WBC Mini Grant funding for worksites to change an old storage room into a dedicated lactation space in their courthouse! The space is outfitted with a comfy chair, a table, a convenient outlet and education materials in both English and Spanish.  We love this creative solution for a lactation space and its use is supported by a lactation policy!

Green County:

Green County used their 2019 WBC Mini Grant funding for worksites to install four new bilingual placards informing employees and citizens of the availability of a mother’s room located within their new government services building. The placards were installed near restrooms so people knew that there was a lactation room to use instead. These efforts are supported by a lactation policy. Great work Green County!

Ashland County Health and Human Services

Ashland County HHS created a lactation room at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. They worked with the campus nurse to create the lactation space in a section of her clinic area.  They updated the breastfeeding policy which will be promoted and implemented by staff and students. Great work Ashland County! The new space is beautiful and supported by the breastfeeding policy!
